Fasting Friend may request access to your device's location. This access is requested strictly to calculate accurate local sunrise and sunset times, which are essential for supporting specific cultural and religious fasting modes (such as Ramadan). By relying on your location, the app ensures that your fasting windows align perfectly with the solar events in your specific area. We do not track your movements or store your location history, and the location data is used purely for real-time calculation of your fasting windows.
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our app through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. App usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. These analytics tools only collect anonymized behavioral data (such as screen interactions and tap patterns) and do not have access to any of your personal health metrics or locally stored fasting data.
If you grant notification permissions, Fasting Friend will send local notifications to your device for reminders about water intake, electrolytes, and fasting milestones. These notifications are processed entirely on your device and no notification data is collected or transmitted.
Since all data remains on your device, security of your information is maintained by your device's built-in security features. We recommend keeping your device updated with the latest operating system to ensure optimal security.
Our app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 years of age.
